A Day at The Vet

I was lucky enough to spend the day at Lakeside Veterinary Clinic in Carbondale. Being around such skilled and professional people made it a lot easier. They took such great care of their patients and it was great to see a different view of what goes on at a vet clinic.

Coco, a 2 year old domestic long hair tabby, is sedated before having explorative surgery at Lakeside Veterinary Clinic. She ended up having two mammary glands removed due to infection. 

Coco has sedatives inserted through an iv before surgery. 

Hero, a 11 month old English Bulldog, is secured to the table during a neutering operation at Lakeside Vet Clinic.

St. Louis Trip With My Brother

Myself and my brother Chris went to St. Louis on Tuesday to catch the Cardinals game. We showed up early to walk around downtown St. Louis. These are a few shots that I thought summed up the trip. 

Kale Woziak, age 4, from Fenton, MO, waits for the gates to open at Left Field at Busch Stadium for the Cardinals' game against the Cincinnati Reds. His favorite players is Yadier Molina and when asked how long he has been a Cardinals fan he simply said "Since I was bigger!" Kale was there to watch the game with his mother Heather Edwards.

Tom Lange, or "The Hat Man", as he has been dubbed by Cardinals fans, shows off a hat that he had recently made celebrating the St. Louis Cardinals 11th World Series Title.

Car Accident

Harrisburg, Illinois Tornado

 On Wednesday February 29, 2012 at 0456 a EF-4 tornado touched down in Harrisburg, Illinois. 6 deaths and over 100 people were injured. To see this damage first hand was amazing and saddening at the same time. The force of nature is scary and hypnotizing at the same time. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of those lost and to the injured. I know southern illinois and I know the kind of people that are here. This town will over and they will rebuild. Here are a few shots from Wednesday.

SIU vs WKU Swim Meet

Went out today and tried to photograph something that I have never shot. Swimming. The lighting wasn't the greatest. But I managed to get a few good pictures.
